Brand Focus: Yull

There is nothing more exciting than discovering a new brand. I had seen a little bit of promo surrounding this gorgeous new shoe company, Yull, and was keen to discover more. I mean, new shoes?! What's not to love!

Yull is the brainchild of Sarah Watkinson-Yull. Following her studies at the Fashion Retail Academy in 2009, she coupled her business brain with her passion for fashion and style to create a shoe brand that tapped into a previously neglected corner of the market-for stylish, classic and fashion-forward footwear.

Sarah says that "Yull is ‘style over fashion’, a break from the current trend‐following flow of impracticable and ephemeral shoe brands. The current collection is a mix of vibrant
colours, playful patterns and classic, very wearable and timeless shoe shapes that are
hard to find in the existing market. The brand is patriotic which is shown by the union
jack on the base of each shoe." Move over, Mr Louboutin...there's a new kid in town!

At just 21, Sarah has forged ahead and set up her own fashion brand, creating links with suppliers and overseeing the process of the creation of her product. As a result the shoes she has designed and created not only look fab, but come with a detailed background and history. Along with the patriotic Union Jack emblem on the sole of each shoe, every pair comes with a story detailing its history and inspiration. It's like opening your own little slice of England each time you lift the lid of the box.

The beautiful punchy colours are not only bang on trend for SS11, they will also inject life into your wardrobe and a little bit of fun into your step. She seamlessly weaves traditional British styles in design and shape with modern colours, textures and prints, re-creating aspects of a bygone era with all the modernity a 21st century Miss would desire.

Yull is the moden choice for any woman.

Yum! Add a little spice to your footwear collection! The range is very affordably priced, with shoes varying between £65-£70. Which is a complete investment when you consider that you are buying into an independant, boutique brand, which will make you stand out from the crowd.

Wow! gorgeous punchy colours and stunning shapes make Yull a brand to take note of.

Some shots from the Yull look book. I am completely coveting the classic courts with the picasso-esque colourblocking...so on trend it's unreal!

A gorgeous re-interpretation of a classically British scene, Yull is a name to remember for SS11. Sarah would also like to branch into creating handbags and accessories, and with a special shoe in the works to help raise money for the Charity 'Shelter' for Christmas 2011, hers is a brand that will surely grow and go from strength to strength.

Yull are available to buy from the Free Love Boutique in Guernsey, and will also be availble to buy online from 1st March, put it in your diary ladies! You can see more pictures from the lookbook and find out more information from the Yull website, click here.
